That jab in the Forbes piece about how "Mastodon" is a bad name (because it's an extinct animal!) is really funny to me because part of the appeal of Mastodon is the fact that it's not the product of the sort of organization that thinks about those things.
Anyway, this "Facebook" thing will never take off; the name makes it clear it's just for college students.
