@brunodias The key way to avoid this, is having a reason you want adoption of your FOSS software. Maybe it's because you run a startup around it, and want potential customers. Maybe it's because you want a larger social network.

Either way, if you want developers to care about supporting people, they generally need a reason to.

@ocdtrekkie Oh sure, but I have seen a lot of "if you want this feature you should submit a pull request" from people who also go "why are people so stupid and use [proprietary alternative] instead of [thing I develop]???"
