I'm gonna help my Dad #selfpublish a manuscript that he wrote 30 years ago. (Somewhat as a Father's Day present, but it's more of a coincidence that Father's Day is coming up when we started discussing this.) We'll scan it, OCR the scans, and publish to LeanPub, then progressively update the work as we correct OCR issues, forwards, etc. I want for my brother and I to be able to see his writing and to allow for it to be read. ๐ #personal #family #writing #selfpublish
If this works out decently enough, we might try to do the same with two other manuscripts. One of them is only handwritten, while the first one and another are typewritten, and handwriting would likely require manual transcription or heavy proofreading of an OCR output.
