This morning I started using NewsBlur to read #RSS again, and man I had no idea that I missed RSS this much. Reading long essays from the #blogs of people you respect is delightful. Timelines are nice, but they're a quick jog with a friend, not a leisurely stroll.

@bthall I experience the same thing! I came back to RSS after few years. I considered NewsBlur but I think it's too expensive (potentially)

@charlag Yeah the price feels steep for me, too. I'm just using the free version, which has some weirdness.

@charlag Now you've got me wanting to look into an alternative for #Newsblur. 😅

The free plan has restrictions on how many sites you can subscribe to and how many new stories they cache from each (5). When you're really browsing around it, you catch decent inertia and then suddenly hit those limits. >_<

@bthall sorry, I didn't mean to! I didn't know about cache limit, huh.
I am thinking about self-hosting something.
