Keeping a personal is a means by which one may develop a personal canon (in terms of a "canonical text"). With one, one may set down new thoughts and more readily compare them with the old ones, paving the way for greater truths to be developed.

@bthall I generally dig this, but the linking is a lot of overhead. I'd love to see a system where you could add information and it would do the linking for you.

@bthall Using links and tags to create associations between ideas. So, if I wanted to look at business ideas, I could hit the #business ideas tag and see what else I had done in that space.

I tried using a personal wiki for work once, and really struggled with the discipline to keep it well linked.

Are we talking about the same thing?

@Modern_Industrial Oh, yes we are! I didn't understand because I find the "task" of doing such in to be quite easy.

@Modern_Industrial This isn't quite tied in with the notion of adding links to tangential pages, but lets you quickly make new posts and have those new posts be tagged with the name of the post that you're already viewing, letting it all get linked up by default. For example, tactical-typos.neocities.org/C

It was produced as an off-shoot page of `Ideas`, which is mentioned in the table at the bottom as a "Parent" post, and its Children post is a journal entry related to it. :)
