In light of #Oracle vs Google should Mastodon stop using a programming language to avoid lawsuits? Perhaps avoid HTTP and HTTPS. I also suggest avoiding the letters O, R, A, C, L, and E.

Passit group invites are interesting. Since it's end to end crypto - we have to just optimistically share the group key (with the user's public key) before they accept the group invite. Then just present the user interface as though they aren't actually in the group yet till they accept. You basically join before you accept - you just don't see anything till you accept.
