Mozilla is the last organization building their own browser engine who isn't also a big tech company (Google, Microsoft, Apple). The work they're doing is incredibly important for maintaining a diverse and vendor-agnostic web.

@catonano @nolan Mozilla publishes their financial details. Most $$ come from deals with search providers (Google, then Yahoo for a while, now back to Google)

@Brennan @catonano @nolan Ah, that's why my default search engine flipped back from DuckDuckGo to Google recently - probably on the upgrade to 57. Not exactly pleased, but at least I noticed fairly quickly and could put it back easily enough.
