HDCP (high-bandwidth digital content protection) is a pixel-level encryption system used to encrypt video transmissions over HDMI.

HDCP puts broadcasters and studios in control of the screens their content plays on. HDCP restricts legitimate content manipulation like picture-in-picture displays, content overlays, and 3rd-party filtering and image modification.

HDCP encrypts without validation -- which means you can #MITM an encrypted video feed and the receiver will still accept the tampered pixels as valid data, decrypt them, and present them to the user.

Have to say, I was fairly disappointed by it in the end.

This #book is basically a reprint of bunnie’s blog. Most of the information in the book is long outdated and is basically a memoir of stuff he's done.
If you’re looking for this book to actually teach you something, save your money. It’s basically one man’s adventure into various aspects of #hacking and building things.

@cestlavie they implemented to much non-free software into their page as I could like it.
Also I don't get it why they didn't choosed #MediaGoblin and added #WebTorrent. For me they smell like buisiness. and with closed plattforms you're just better in gaining cash.
