Any Intro To Mastodon thinkpiece that doesn't acknowledge that it's existed since 2016 and was essentially first colonized by a bunch of gay communist furries (and later: game devs, circa holiday season, but that's less important) is totally useless imo

I think this one had a cold. It was blowing snot bubbles at me. Note the wet snout.

This is an echidna, or as I like to call them, spiny snufflepig. They are Australia's most widespread animal species; and live in every environment including deserts, snowy mountains, and rainforests. Amazing and super cute.

Some flowers from the same location (or very close); an orchid species and a daisy.

You can see a small fire in the midground. It's a dry and very fire prone ecosystem. This fire was caused by a vehicle.
