This is an echidna, or as I like to call them, spiny snufflepig. They are Australia's most widespread animal species; and live in every environment including deserts, snowy mountains, and rainforests. Amazing and super cute.
You can see a small fire in the midground. It's a dry and very fire prone ecosystem. This fire was caused by a vehicle.
