Big things happening at work. Mistakes were made by the powers that be which means the guys at the bottom get the chop! Senior IT Admin gets "let go" and I get to cover all the work he used to do - without getting promoted or getting any training, or a handover and not even any extra money (not even a token amount), plus I still have all my usual work to do. Fun times 😄 I do appreciate that I still have a job though and the learning opportunity set before me.
I joined mastodon and loved the generally friendlier atmosphere (which I realize has not exactly been everybody's experience here)
But the longer I've used it, the more I've realized how much I love the freedom from ads, trackers, and feed algorithms
