@christianselig dang, you just can't catch a break with these quality client apps. Really appreciated Juno, was a great app.

@christianselig Thank you for your delightful approach and thoughtful design. 💕

@christianselig guess I’ll stop holding out for immersive fullsceen. Thanks though, it’s been real! 🥲

@axiixc That update was coming along nicely :p

@christianselig I'm sorry to hear it happened, you made Youtube on the VisionPro great.

I have to admit I kind of expected this when it launched but then it seemed to go by fine so I grabbed it and enjoyed it. It will definitely be missed or well, I hope it continues to run for a long time on my Vision Pro before it breaks.

It's shame that it sounds like you can't even get out of it by removing any reference to Youtube in the App Store.

@christianselig Aw man! 😔 Thank you for your work on Juno, and the Vision Pro 🫡 (and hoping the latter will continue)

@christianselig I’m so sorry, that’s such a bummer. Juno is one of my favourite Vision Pro apps, and I’ll keep using it as long as it continues to function!

@christianselig I’m sorry, Christian.

I’m really glad that I picked it up when I had the chance. It’s a stellar app.

@christianselig lol WTF Apple, visionOS App Store is already a desolate landscape and you want to thin it out more, of great apps?

It’s a bold strategy.

Thanks for another stellar app, Christian. I’ll keep using it until it dies!

@imatthewcm @christianselig I think the word you’re looking for is ‘courage’.

@christianselig I know open source doesn’t make sense and may lead to further issues, but would be fun to see how you went about solving the UI improvements you made.

@christianselig that’s horrible. yet another monopoly treating 3rd party app developers like garbage.

@christianselig Sad to hear even though I don’t have a Vision Pro. I hope the next app you build is something I can use! Apollo was my most used app before its untimely death.

@christianselig too bad Apple couldn’t find their courage

@christianselig Thank you for yet another excellent app. Like Apollo, I won't be deleting this one, either.

@christianselig Juno was def my most-used Vision Pro app (back when I had an AVP for the brief period of time before I returned it)

🫡

@ryanashcraft Next time I'll make an app so good you'll never return its device

@christianselig I mean sincerely, based on your track record, you have a much higher likelihood of achieving that than anybody else!

@christianselig I’m so sorry, the 500lb gorilla strikes again.

@christianselig Sorry to hear that 😕 I think someone in the top management made a decision “no 3rd party apps period” being worried about potential ad blocking. And after that nobody really cares if there is ad blocking, they just want everyone gone.

I have a feeling that day I will start getting similar emails from carriers for @parcel 😖

@ivanpavlov @parcel That was my thinking too. Classic middle managers making sweeping decisions without thinking

@christianselig Dang, just last night I thought to myself, “if it wasn’t for Juno I would never use my Vision Pro.” Thanks for the fun, hell of a run.

@kyle Thanks man, means a lot from you :D <3

@christianselig now you can finally build that Twitter client!

@christianselig I really appreciate your perspective on keeping fun projects enjoyable ❤️

@christianselig Google is very much on the wrong side of this. Important lesson here. You can’t build a brand off someone else. They get the slightest bit peeved, they can bounce you.

@christianselig wow so sorry it had to end like this. Before I sold my this was the only app I used regularly. Sad to the best visionOS app be pulled from the store.

@christianselig it’s crazy that they kill your app and they don’t have their own Apple Vision Pro app ready to go.

@christianselig nice try making something work and without having a Vision Pro to try it out myself it definitely looked like the best solution to date. Hope at the very least it helped pay for the Vision Pro so you can keep trying other things with it.

@christianselig That's such a bummer. Juno was easily one of the best app on the Vision Pro. It's too bad Youtube is so shortsighted that it didn't see the value in this app.

Thanks for the app @christianselig.

@christianselig That sucks! Sorry that happened. At least no one can take Pixel Pals away from you.

@christianselig lemme guess, your next project is based on WordPress? Or maybe something Disney related?

@christianselig You’re the reason I’m on mastodon, I loved your Apollo app for the site that once was Reddit. When the whole API thing went down I jumped over here. Sorry to hear this app got pulled as well. Keep up the great work!

@christianselig sad to hear. These mega companies keep shutting down your work.

@christianselig @siracusa 3rd party client apps are so 2009.

@christianselig Oh no!! USED this daily! Amazing app not sure what I will do going forward - very sad to see!

@christianselig Thank you Christian! I’m glad you stepped up and tried.

@christianselig this really sucks, amazing app! good luck with whatever’s next

@christianselig

Serious fuck Google. I just hope they get torn apart by the DOJ.

@christianselig hey there, Christian. I’ve never used your app (don't own AVP). But I heard good things about it. And your website posts about developing Juno are super interesting. Just wanted to say a huge thank you for all your efforts. It is really shame that Juno was removed. Best of luck to you.
