Microsoft: Copilot doesn't violate copyright


@cjd I think it's a unning gag from people at Microsoft. Lee Holmes for example turns Rick Astley into Risk ASCII and made him to dance and sing "Never Let You Down" right inside #PowerShell:

Invoke-Expression (New-Object Net.WebClient).DownloadString("")


That just shows it was trained on code that violates copyright.

I put stuff like that in testing code all the time.

Anytime I write a test that needs an email address, I use, because it’s Homer Simpson’s.

And one time I wrote a comment that said

// 🎶 Put my thing down, flip it and reverse it

I was kind of annoyed when a few weeks later a coworker removed the emoji from my comment.
