Some bad news for folks who are fans of . It's being archived and no longer being developed :

Can't say I didn't see this coming since maintaining a plugin, particularly as an open source project, is often a thankless job with many personal down sides

I hope it can still continue, if not as uMatrix, then as something else. I really don't like to fiddle with uBlock Origin to get the same functionality

@cypnk The most recent build is here, it's signed but idk if regular Firefox can install it, I'm on Aurora and it installed fine for me;

It's 6 months newer than the amo build, at least.

@cypnk Damn, that sucks! :(
Nothing changes for me specifically, since I've been using an uBlock +NoScript combo. But still, it's a shame. That was an amazing add-on.

@Mayana @cypnk That was an amazing plugin. I am also fan of Noscript but umatrix is one of the few plugins that support almost all the browsers. I hope someone else can continue the development.

I used to use only NoScript, then discovered uBlock Origin, then discovered uMatrix, which is currently my primary add-on. Maybe I'll need to go back to NoScript and uBlock...

@tapaniraja I've had some difficulties with NoScript on some sites so I may just use the same functionality in uBlock. It's a little more involved, but doable

@cypnk Yeah NoScript breaks a lot of sites so gotta whitelist stuff constantly. Haven't tried the feature on uBlock actually.

@cypnk I think the author just uses uBlock origin instead and I recommend to do the same

@charlag Yeah, I've been diving into that menu. Still prefer the direct access uMatrix provides, so I'm hoping at least that aspect makes it over to the UI

@cypnk in block there are several modes of verbosity and the most expanded one looks very much like uMatrix

@cypnk So sad... :( I guess it's back to #ublockorigin in advanced mode or #noscript then. uMatrix is a lot better though imo.

@mllepogany @cypnk @alrs It shouldn't be a big deal for a while (several months or a year).

Meanwhile, I am trying to figure out the codebase in the hope that I can maintain or otherwise help out with a fork.

@cypnk ugh, uMatrix is a big part of my workflow.
