Took a stroll outside. The back of the building is sheltered on both sides by houses and trees, but it’s still windy. Saw a couple of cars driving by. I think they’re just trying to get home

Now inside having a nice hot cup of coffee 😊

@cypnk This reminds me of here a couple weeks ago... Jeez, never seen that much snow in all my life!

@cypnk Sadly its mostly rain now :c ... Having said that we did have a thunderstorm the other night (????) which bought so much hail it looked snowy.

Thats kind of bizarre in January!

@DatTux Oh yeah, we got some rain last week too. Pretty strange to have rain this far into winter, but here we are. I think we're gonna have more rain next week :(

When I build my cabin, I'll need to head way up state or further up into New England for more snow (also the land is a lot cheaper)

@cypnk hell yeah! Itd be essential. I too hope to one day dwell in a cabin.

Although for now Il probably settle for some old caravan down the garden for a workshop lol

@DatTux Speaking of workshops. This design is pretty small, but cheap(er) to build than a big cabin. I'm planning multiple small structures instead of one big one, so these would work very well for separating hobbies from your living space

It's also a good way to learn how to build a cabin. If this gets screwed up, not a huge deal

@cypnk Not bad! Not bad at all... Wouldnt be a pretty neat project actually. Will have to look into it more.

Would be awesome to kit it out, plus itd give me a little peace when I want it.

@cypnk That made my toes hurt just looking at it!

@QueenMollyBones Haha! Toes warming near the heater. Socks drying on top

@cypnk Glad you are comfortable after that walk.

We being deluged with rain & high winds in the UK. Just sent a friend home wrapped in a plastic poncho so they at least stood a chance of getting to the bus without looking like they'd had a cold bath with their coat on.

Am deeply grateful it hasn't turned to snow.

@QueenMollyBones Oh dear. I do enjoy a bit of rain too, but winter showers are a tad too cold. I may have been a polar bear in a past life because I love snow 😊

@cypnk I love it too, but I often use a wheelchair and it makes life just a bit too exciting. I love watching snow from the comfort of my warm living room!

Hmm... The video seems to not have audio. I posted a longer version on the birdsite and that one has audio

twitter.com/cypnk/status/94897

@Dustin It might be the Amaroq client. On the desktop it does seem to be fine

The other video is a tad longer though. Unfortunately, I can't upload videos longer than 30 seconds here

@DistroJunkie The one issue I had was the wind blowing on my face on my way back. I had icicles forming on my eyebrows

But I gotta say, it was totally worth it

Since people seemed to like my snow videos, I put together a few clips of my walk in the blizzard

youtube.com/watch?v=VE1W3DIyVO

@cypnk Oh that's soooo lovely! Unfortunately not much snow has fallen around these parts this year (or the last one for that matter) :/

@jpopfantasia This was a rare treat for us too. I'm hoping to move further up north for more snow 😊

@karyl HAHAHA! You're the third person today to mention that 😂

@cypnk As soon as the first walking clip starts in the video... It feels EXACTLY like that.

@cypnk which reminds me I should play that game again. I have a 40 day survival save going on there... Need to get back in. :)

@karyl How awesome would it be to play it exactly when a blizzard picked up outside. You get the game vibe and ambiance at the same time ;)

@cypnk Totally. You'd want to make sure you had a blanket, some warm slippers and a hot drink of course :D
