On tiny cabins and other small structures, doors that swing outward aren’t that uncommon. There are pros and cons though and #tinyhouse builders need to be aware of them
I’m thinking my cabin should have an outswing door. It saves space and it’s resistant to bad weather. And hidden hinges are more affordable now so security wouldn’t be an issue

@ninjatrappeur Oh yes, I'm going to make doubly sure I'll have an egress route ;) All of the property I looked at so far get several feet of snow each Winter so that's a very important point
I did look at a very nice cabin plan with a relatively big porch eve so that can help with snow at the entrance
