#empyrion is a survival combat / crafting based space game. There's a few things it gets very very right, more so than other games in this genre
I'm going to give a quick tour of my base and my ships

#empyrion right now I'm setup in a starbase, which is something empyrion supports very well. I also have some planetside bases, but I prefer a starbase to be my main base of operations
#empyrion my lil starbase has 3 rooms.
- an empty room facing the sun, the intend to make into a greenhouse
- a catchall room in the middle, filled with (safe) construction machinery, medical stations, storage access points
- a industrial room where all the dangerous (eg. emits radiation) construction machinery goes
#empyrion there's also a little docking pad with some static gun emplacements, and some ships
the docking pad is overdue for being expanded, I have 4 ships and its only really sized for 1 or 2
the gun emplacements are next to the docking pad to help support a "hot dock" where I'm under fire as I pull into the station
#empyrion I've got 4 ships right now, each specialized to a particular role. There's a "CPU" limit on individual ships, which is what forces specialization rather an one big everything ship.
The four ships are:
- heavy transport ship
- hover tank
- starfighter
- miner
They're visible left to right ish in this screenshot. I put a but of work into coloring the first two.
#empyrion the hover tank isn't flight capable, so it docks to the top of the heavy transport in order to get down planetside
also the heavy transport is the only ship outfitted with a wrap drive, so the other ships dock on top when I need to move them somewhere
#empyrion most of my ships are slightly modified versions of ships I found on the steam workshop, and so is my base.

#empyrion right now my next goal is to build a cruiser, which will have a warp drive powerful enough to visit other star systems!
I expect the cruiser to be roughly the same size as my entire space station, so quite a large one.
Probably gonna head over to do that now.
