@katebowles I blame @WelshPixie 'cause although I got the Cornell uni email about #BirdDay it wasn't until I saw Del's stream of South African birds that I felt I should represent Australia.
@katebowles @WelshPixie I photograph birds for my own enjoyment since they tend not to sell very well, and it makes for a lovely time outside just being.
Not quite as serious about it as a friend of mine (he and his wife flew to South America just to photograph hummingbirds).
@dadegroot @WelshPixie my friend just back from Mexico, chasing something or other. As his partner said to me once, "we rushed to Far North Queensland just to see something in a ditch." "How did you go?" I asked. "We saw it."
