I can't agree with this r.e. turning all of our phones into *proper* governmental surveillance devices: idlewords.com/2020/03/we_need_

@dajbelshaw It's funny - the no-expections anti-surveillance stance, and the newly reformed health-surveillance stance, are both derived from the same basic belief: a distrust of humanity.

I'm from the other side, with a belief in the basic goodness of humanity. Yes there will always be a fuckie who does the exact wrong thing. But that's why I would say we need some surveillance, but not full-on mass surveillance.
