"Publications from the late 1960s suggested that [catnip], when smoked, produced a psychedelic high not unlike marijuana, but it was later discovered that the researchers had, in fact, mixed up the two plants." web.archive.org/web/2013042103

Y'all…

anyone have great how-to resources (web sites, zines, pdfs) for organizing protests? specifically anything that explains that you don't really need a permit to rally in public space.

there are so many new people trying to organize things, and the establishment is trying to use that inexperience to control and discourage action.

Anyone have live-streaming experience? How about 360 live-streaming? Do you have gear recommendations ---- I see a lot of stuff tied to specific phones ---
anything that is reasonably affordable and platform agnostic?

Some days I start to think I should forsake on the tech industry forever, run away back to the country, and become a farmer.

Have the weirdest illness, it has hit a few of my friends now and seems to resolve in about 2 weeks. Its like waves of lethargy, your body feels heavy, but no fever, or other discernible symptoms.

Been working on this all week -- a lot of small careful freehand triangles to try not to fuck up, mixing a new color several dozen times.

Very happy with the finished product, equally happy to be done working on it.

US far-right is taking a page from far-right youth in Europe and mimicking culture jam/street theatre tactics of the left --- banner drops, event interruptions, guerrilla advertising, etc.

As someone who has been a party to tactics of this kind, their success depends upon getting a strong reaction, from both supporters and critics.

Definitely discuss among friends and in your communities, but I encourage you not to share images and media of these actions.

While I am a fan of horizontalist organizing, I think this is a fair take on pitfalls of ad-hoc leadership, and especially the toxic dynamic of criticism + personal attacks that often follows on social media, rendering a movement less effective.

Got this in the mail today. Due to a printing issue, I have a lot of them.

My offer still stands, DM me an address and I will mail you an envelope full of resistance stickers. If you're in the Bay Area and want to help give these out, also hit me up :)

Social media is self-actualization through performance art

I don't like GoFundMe. They profit off of suffering, and crowdfunding is skewed towards those who have the most social capital, put on the best performance, or meet popular notions of what is 'worthy' of support.

Fight like hell for a system of universal care and social welfare that provides for essential needs, unconditionally.

You can buy coffee (or, maybe even better, a coffee tree) grown in California. Pretty cool!
