@dansup@mastodon.social what's the plan with the tens of thousands raised so far? Can you concentrate on pixelfed? Lots of bugs and issues need addressing and it's becoming more obvious as the user count increases and they notice problems.

Meanwhile there are hundreds if admin hosting the pixelfed software out of the goodness of their own heart. No recognition as to their issues. The user needs.
Its a great product and I'm sure most of us are very appreciative of it, but we need to stand up and also recognise the challenges and unserstand how we work to a speedy resolution.

@dansup is there any place to sign up as a volunteer developer ? I am designer and developer with years of experience. Would love to contribute if there is bugs to fix or features to explore.
@dansup I really want to support the opensource software I personally use but I'm a bit worried about how outdated the loops repos are.
Daniel has been prioritizing Pixelfed, since it's been blowing up.
AFAIK he's now working on a big Loops update which will include first stage of decentralization. As a user, I would've preferred two smaller updates so we get the worst problems out of the way sooner, but I think Daniel maybe wants to make the next release of Loops a big deal, and attract some developers to it.
