Anyone on the doing or ?

My Mum is trying to get to fully compiling her research into a document (for printing, but retaining an electronic copy).

I'm trying to give her some guidance on doing proper referencing, and programs for doing tree diagrams.

Anyone able to answer some questions or offer tips? I'm thinking Chicago footnotes for referencing, with Zotero as a reference manager. For the diagrams, I was thinking Freemind.

@dartigen Chicago is a great citation method for genealogy because it's easy to customize to reference pretty much anything.

If she's looking for family tree software, Gramps is free and pretty robust: gramps-project.org/introductio
