AT&T is blocking Tutanota in some US regions. As AT&T has not fixed the issue after more than two weeks, we are reaching out publicly in the hope of getting the attention of the right people at AT&T. Read more on our blog:

@Tutanota You're right.Net neutrality is really important to keep the freedom of the Internet.Without net neutrality,decentralized platforms like Mastodon or Matrix could get serious problems 😢 But do you really think that AT&T is censoring your service?That would totally be possible but I don't see any confirmation.Maybe it's just a technical issue they're too lazy to fix.What I'm really shocked about is that they have the possibility to censor websites 😲 I thought the thing with net neutrality is all about unfair speed advantages but not about blocking.

@nipos Actually, we don't know. It's not a routing issue, we've tested that. We're now in contact with AT&T so most likely it was a technical issue. But before going public with this, we weren't able to get their attention...

@Tutanota @nipos Seems that they're pretty lazy and only care about their reputation...

@datenschutzratgeber @Tutanota @nipos

in England I've seen big corporate services like Dropbox and Sage Drive (used for accounts systems) made inacesssible or intermittent due to a misconfiguration at an ISP, and even that took about 2 weeks to resolve (and the ISP logged the ticked immediately) - I had to get some of the Accounts department staff to work in a different office next door - ironically this was connected to the *same* ISP but via a different network backbone!)
