#EPrivacy #LinkTax "The proposal would require platforms to filter all uploads by their users for potential #copyright infringements."
"We know from experience that these algorithmic filters regularly make mistakes and lead to the mass deletion of legal uploads."

@D I don't get what you're trying to challenge there. The point in sharing these links is that I perceive the solution to be point blank - bullshit. No thought experiment required to show time and again these blocking mechanisms FAIL.
I'm not challenging. I'm clarifying with example based reasoning
@D gotcha
Sorry to leap to the defensive. Thanks for raising the example. The more ways in which people can conceptualise these pressing issues, the better!
the same thought experiment helps foil the irrational fondness for "gun control"
but not as well as others
@david_ross "legal uploads" shouldn't even be a term
@Dekken hearing you! I think the point being there is no way of knowing. That's a spokesperson from the Pirate Party btw.
@david_ross with privacy laws you're kinda not supposed to
I don't mean there is no illegal content of course
@david_ross
Thought experiment
I'm a criminal. I do whatever the fuck i want. I do X.
You're a legislator. You make X illegal.
I still don't care. I'm doing X again.
You pass newer laws about X
I'm still doing X.
Is the solution to pass more laws about X wasting taxpayer money?
Is that "solution" rational?
