Hashtag intros seem to be a thing, so here goes: My name is Monk. By day, I'm an #electrical #engineer working in #offgrid #solar #energy access in #Africa (cue Toto). I design #electronics and also do some #manufacturing and #operations work, which means I travel a lot to #China as well.

But more than that, I'm a #musician. I mostly play #saxophone and do the #brassband and #jazz thing. But I also fiddle with #synthesizers and other #noise.
