If you have the time, do listen to Arundhati Roy's Jonathan Schell Memorial lecture delivered on Nov 12th in New York City where she talks about climate, capitalism and India. It's called - Intimations of an ending: The rise and rise of the Hindu Nation.

The Paresh Rawals and Tavleen Singhs seem to be furious that some students are protesting against a Muslim professor teaching Sanskrit. Apparently, they are confused where this "idiocy" is coming from.

If only they looked in the mirrors more often!

Next time you cry about "lawlessness" in the country, remember how you turned your backs on students getting beaten up for protesting fee hike. Remember how you sided with the establishment in their attempt to make education inaccessible to the poor.

Offering solidarity to the students protesting the fee hike at JNU, as a beneficiary of subsidised education and a "tax-paying citizen".

A state must ensure universal public education. Any attempts to make education inaccessible must be condemned.

Data says over half of JNU students can afford the fee hike. Data also says it's not a big deal if the other half drops out of college because it is known that only richer half is entitled to education.

Data is political.

They just cannot comprehend the possibility of comparitively richer folks offering solidarity to the Left movement. It's beyond them to understand why the "rich students" will walk with their comrades.

That's where "JNU kids wear branded clothes" is coming from.

If I have to choose one Indian politician who I agree the most with, it's comrade @KavitaKrishnan . Who is your choice?

Rahul Easwar seems to know better than the RSS/BJP in Kerala how to further the rw narratives. He realises that there is not much potential in trying to fuel communalism there. So instead, he tries to unite the right across all religions and rally them against the left.

Based on the ADR data, the percentage of crorepatis in 2019 Loksabha is 88%.

That is why the establishment feels no shame in making education inaccessible to people and its salaried lapdog media have no qualms to do their masters' bidding in the garb of journalism.

Is it just me or is @asadowaisi@twitter.com the only Indian politician making sense nowadays?

If you were having second thoughts because of all the delay and drama, know that nothing has changed and women of all ages absolutely must be able to enter .

It's the height of ridiculousness that even in the brink of 2020 one has to explain how reservation is not a poverty alleviation program but about representation. This 'ignorance' is not organic, it's intentionally sustained by those who were in power all these years.

It's not like this distinction is so nuanced that people can't understand it. It's just that they don't want to understand it and more importantly, they don't want others to understand it.

Just look at the etiquette of Kerala's Education Minister sitting down with the kids offering respects to a historian.

Something which you don't see often in Indian politics, unfortunately. Not just because they don't have the proper etiquette, but also because they don't meet historians, at least not real ones.

I have mostly just been writing here, I still haven't been able to read on this platform as much as I do on Twitter. Something about the TL is off-putting. Just me?

The only constructive criticism of the Left can come from further-Left and invariably not from the Right.
