@Joe @switchingsocial Yeah, in that case probably Ardour. I still use Pro Tools personally (more music stuff than podcasts), but there are a couple other open source ones listed here I hadn't heard of:

Is that a good alternative to Cubase? I tried LMMS, but that seems more like GarageBand and thus less what I want...

@dheadshot I've not used Cubase before so I can't really say... I know Ardour is supposed to compete more with Pro Tools. Less loop/FX-related stuff, more tracking + mixing live audio I think. @Joe @switchingsocial
