I've been on the edge of my seat listening to @BryanLunduke talk about text based browsing with #w3m. For me, #newsbeuter is the frontline for avoiding web browsers, I subscribe through RSS feeds (Blogs, Podcasts, Youtube, reddit) and open the links directly in #w3m or #mpv and #kodi for media files. IMO, #RSS is really the best content distribution method.
