I also realized, when telling my friend about my trip, that a foodie I am not, lol. She asked me what I ate and I realized I was less about exploring food and more about making sure I ate at all so I didn't pass out lol. I did have a few nice meals, but it definitely wasn't a highlight for me. Something to focus on in future travels.
I very much enjoyed both cities and realized that a huge source of joy for me while vacationing in a new city is wandering. Wandering is great.

To be clear: My cat isn't afraid of it; I would never do anything to scare him as he is a very nervous boy. He hates it because he thinks I'M screaming and he doesn't like it when I'm upset. When he meowed at me to stop, I did. Now I only blow in it when he's not in the room.
An early birthday present from my Dad: an Aztec Death Whistle. It's shaped like a little skull and when you blow in it just right, it sounds like hundreds of people are screaming in the distance. My cat hates it and I love it.
