US pressures China to do market reform, stop predatory trade, stop IP theft. These are well planned and approved Chinese policies. Expecting fast China policy change, due to US negotiations is unrealistic.

To believe the rhetoric that talks are going well is wildly optimistic. Good start, but not an end.

The US cannot expect to force China to change trade policy. China will change when it wants, and not before. Trump will not ease up, and should not.
