It's interesting to see Steve Purcell's original EGA art for Cobb in Monkey Island and LOOM, and compare it to two interpretations by different artists done for upgraded versions of those games.

Keep in mind that Iain McCaig, the man behind Monkey Island VGA's oil painting-looking closeups, pixel painted them all with nothing but a mouse.
