@dosnostalgic oh yeah :) actually kind of evaporated from my head how they release it and the naming.
@dosnostalgic I wonder why rendering the crowd got worse over time? I also would have had the crowd rendered in "chunks" so that the closer you get to a section of a particular texture, the more active that texture's animation. The index color cycling basically just gets faster.
@TheOuterLinux In the 95 version the crowd along with the arena are the only 3D polygonal things. In the 96 one the players are too. Spend resources where it matters.
