Pretty please specify .alpha1 versioning scheme. Having three posibility for alpha/beta/rc releases sounds from maintainer point extremely painful. Also, thanks for nicer versioning scheme. 3.xx was ugly :)
@okias There are going to be three GNOME development releases: dot-alpha, dot-beta, dot-rc. That's it. If a maintainer wishes to do more alpha, beta, and rc releases, they can do it, following the same scheme with some additional component, like we used to do 188.8.131.52, or 184.108.40.206.
