I finally set up a proper page that my website hosts! It's pretty bare-bones, but I'm happy to finally just have one (1) link that I can point to and say "my stuff lives here"

Oh! I did a write-up a while back on the software I use to make electronic that I've been meaning to share here.

It's had a few different homes since I wrote it (Reddit, a blog that doesn't exist anymore). Not sure how big the electronic music making community on Masto is, but I hope someone can get some use out of it!

Totally unrelated: my streaming links house some pretty good examples of a lot of these plugins in action! Cheers!

Sadly I don't have to tools to put it back myself, but given I plan on selling it anyway, I guess I'll just knock some of what I was going to ask for it off and say it needs a soundpost reset

popping over to an alternate universe where it's spelled "rantch dressing," want anything?

I should mention, not just from an instrumentation perspective either, but also just having people around who know their instruments better than I do to say "hey... that's a stupid idea"

I've had some neat ideas that I think were probably best expressed through electronic music, but I also have some that I think would be better served by an actual band, and??? I'm an adult now, which I was not when I started, so I guess there's nothing stopping me from trying to pursue that.

I don't think I realized until pretty recently, but I don't... actually want to be an electronic musician? I got my start in music listening to rock and metal and just wanting to know more about how they worked, and teaching myself bass guitar, not electronic music. I love electronic music, don't get me wrong. I would have found another outlet for this by now if I just /really/ didn't like doing it, but at the heart of my interest in music is kind of a desire to just be in a normal-ass band

I really think the main issue I have with my music is that I consider myself way more of a composer than a producer, and that's not really an excuse for just not learning the techniques at all, I guess, but it's certainly the part I have the least fun with, and generally just want to be over as fast as possible.

I'm never happy with anything so this morning I fucked with this even more and ditched the entire vibe I had going in favor of...

so for some reason there are a bunch of shitty vinyl stickers kicking around my house and well
