I have a weird mix of emotions re: yesterday's distro-hop from Debian.
Fedora suits me and the way I work down to the ground, and I feel quite bad for ignoring it for the better part of a decade (I settled on Ubuntu around 2009).
However 99.9% of people I recommend it to are going to try it, say "what is this nonsense?!" and then go back to whatever distro they were using.
The other 0.1% are going to say "It's a good distro. I use Arch by the way" 😂

I tried #Fedora several times. It's not for me. GNOME most certainly isn't for me, and the other DEs on Fedora feel like an afterthought. I'll stick to my mix of #LinuxMint #Debian and #MxLinux...

I actually find MATE a bit annoying, mostly because editing its panels is a bit of a hassle. These days I like #Cinnamon, #Xfce and #KDE, in this order.

Since Ubuntu ditched Unity I've been using MATE. But I'm giving Gnome Shell a whirl to see how long I'll tolerate it.
Surprisingly, I haven't grown to loathe it yet. Learning the keyboard shortcuts has helped.
