I'm getting the feeling that the federated instances thingy in is encouraging me to compartmentalize my personality. Not sure if that's good or bad.

@eladhen I just merged mine. Jury is still out for that decision, but I am definitely sticking with it for a bit.

@PresGas
I'm thinking of opening a dice.camp account to get more in my feed, but I also like to babble about and and from time to time, I'd even appreciate a discussion of (though several years of "net activism" have made me pretty jaded and tired of "fixing the world" by writing about it). So, am I supposed to take each of my interests to its respective instance?

@eladhen the features with the v2.3.x versions of mastodon really help with this flexibility.

@eladhen the Lists feature and the profile moved note. It was released with 2.1 but some instances were still on 2.0 for a long time:

@eladhen @PresGas i mean, you can make multiple accounts, or you can just follow people from instances you like &/or use hashtags to find people with similar interest

@Satsuma @eladhen Agreed. Hashtags are a good source. You can also look at the who the people you follow follows.

I thought the "peek inside" parts of other instances were the local streams, but they are actually the federated ones.
