Once upon a time I wrote a short album, using a brilliant program called (I'll link to the album bellow). I'm npw thinking of making some more music, but SunVox, for all it's beauty, is proprietary. seems not quite there. Can anyone recommend a music creation tool?

I've never used sunvox, but I like Qtractor. I've used lots though. See slackermedia.info/handbook

Ok, I already see that this is the kind of program that assumes I know something about the sound architecture...

@eladhen I highly recommend the Qtractor docs (as the writer of the manual, I would) and also the docs about setting up Linux audio, on my site Slackermedia.

But if you can't be bothered, check out Ardour. It's pretty slick and can run without JACK. (But man, JACK is nice once you learn it!)
