i like when old people write pounds and pence like "50/-" as tho we've still got shillings


i also like the expression "old money" referring to literally any historical unit of measurement

e.g. "it's 30 degrees out today"
"what's that in old money"

or "that building is 300m tall"
"what's that in old money"

@envgen I tell my American friends that my mum does this. I'm sure it's related to the close proximity of decimalization to going metric, but it's still hilarious.
