i only ask cos theres a plant on my bedside table next to the lamp, and its dark out but the lamp is on and im worried im keeping him up

@envgen yes, but it's done with special types of lights, and I don't think normal lights disturb it.

@envgen so if the light is full-spectrum or creating a lot of heat then yes, some plants need a day/night cycle to allow their stomata to open for gas exchange and absorb co2 but it actually depends on the plant.

tldr; yes, but the kind of light on your bedstand probably isn’t bright enough to bother them.
