Hello folks,

It's early in the morning in Paris (France) area.

I just have published a new blog post about upgrade BIOS/UEFI with #FreeBSD but should work with any *BSD family OS,

Retoot are welcome

Stumbled over a broken package in the geopandas dependencies.

Updated version of the depenceny from pip worked, so i tried doing a minimal effort update of the port which worked too and contacted the port maintainer who answered literally within the minute and is now fixing the issue upstream.

This kind of thing keeps happening to me and is something I haven't encountered with any other OS ever.

Passionate maintainers like that are much of why I'm sticking to FreeBSD these days.

corona France Germany

I don't quite understand the German vs French numbers. France now has surpassed Germany in numbers of infections, even though they have stricter curfew rules in place, plus their death rate is like 6 times of Germany's.

One of the hardest services to configure for me was openldap+tls+letsencrypt+multimaster. Once I got it all working on #FreeBSD I wrote #Ansible role for it. Feel free to grab it from github.com/mekanix/jail-ldap/t. Once I test it more, I'll publish it on Ansible Galaxy.

covid19, bsd events

Dank Corona wird es im April kein Meetup geben, danke an @jpmens für den Hinweis!
Vielleicht dann im Juni?

#hikari 1.0.0-beta3 is out. It's time to get ready for the RC phase. At this point I won't be adding new features but will only focus on bugs (not missing functionality) and documentation. Testers appreciated 🐞 Hopefully there will be a 1.0.0 in about 2 weeks from now. 😺 #Wayland #FreeBSD #Linux hub.darcs.net/raichoo/hikari

Anybody is running *BSD on a #thinkpad T495 yet? Mine is under Void at the moment but a BSD would be better.

I've just ported to .
