📣 Programming Language World Championships 2020 📣

A knockout tournament where 32 programming languages compete against each other, and you decide the winner of each round by voting.

There will be two matches per day, and in two weeks time we'll have a winner!

Discussions are encouraged, but please, keep it civil and peaceful. It's just a fun game.

@fribbledom rust v. julia is going to be like tuning into a regional sports channel at 1:30 am on a Wednesday and you have no idea what sport is even being played but you are militantly opposed to the team with ugly uniforms winning.

I can't help thinking that doing this K.O. style makes the results very dependent on the initial pairing and brackets.

I'm not familiar with too many of the languages, but I think I'd have pitted Fortran vs. C in the initial round.

But then, the I'm sure the aim of this is not any objective figure of merit but mostly an opportunity to compare languages -- should be fun

@fribbledom having perl vs. C on only the 2nd round is pretty scary
