That means 2 grams of activated carbon have the surface area of a football pitch.


@fribbledom My favourite Activated Charcoal Factoid is that the highest surface areas can be achieved from coconut charcoal, and that there are "vintages" of high-porosity coconuts, and that this all matters a great deal to fusion researchers who need coconut charcoal for achieving hard vacuums. :)
