They say AI is going to revolutionize the world, and yet Google still needs my help identifying fire hydrants on a daily basis.

@wizardofosmium @fribbledom

AFAIK they are not found anywhere in Northern Europe and probably even in America are confined to warmer areas as they would likely freeze solid in winter - ours in UK are underneath an access cover in the ground and there is a sign next to it (and its an offence to park over the access cover!)

@wizardofosmium @fribbledom We have them all over the place in New England. I assumed it had to do with the frost because I do know there are different types. Maybe it’s just an American thing making it into media, like yellow school buses.

@fribbledom by identifying those fire hydrants you’re training Google’s AI to better identify them. On behalf of future generations, I thank you for your service.

And it still somehow finds a way to disagree with me

@fribbledom google when you didnt click the square with 1 pixel of bus in it: YOU ARE ROBOTS !~!!!!!

@lps @fribbledom
Resistance is futile. Your biological and technological distinctiveness (including your fire hydrants) will be added to our own.
