"The real danger is not that computers will begin to think like men, but that men will begin to think like computers."

-- Sydney J.Harris

@fribbledom So if computers think like men and men think like computers, who thinks like who?

@fribbledom 01101000 01100101 01101100 01101100 01101111 00100000 01110111 01101111 01110010 01101100 01100100

@fribbledom I have never read a statement that is more false than this.

The real danger is that computer think like humans.
But I doubt that a Computer can think this illogical, corrupted and underhanded than a human being.

On the other hand, it would be great when humans would "think" logical and without egoism and personal vendettas like a computer.

On the other hand Computer is made by humans, so it might not be perfect.

@ryo Perfection is evil, as it is unhuman, unanimal, unalive.

@im @fribbledom
Oh, so being a disease for the planet, murdering people for selfish low instincts, betraying, lying and stealing is good?

Okay, so I'm on the evil side together with my robo-friends...

@ryo Oh, the opposite side of evil ay not be as simple as good. I get your point. But love, caring, resistance, creativity are not features of reason and logic (which I value very much though)

@fribbledom I don't necessarily consider this a bad thing. Often, turning "vague concepts" into something a computer can understand forces you to have a deeper understanding of your subject matter. (This is in fact one of the things I do for a living right now.)

@fribbledom we shape our tools, and thereafter our tools shape us
