These ideas eventually worked their way into a #woven #BinaryTree representation of #PascalsTriangle.
i don't really understand why #nix uses nixlang
it's by far the worst, and worst documented, part of the entire system
and, in addition to this, so much of the ecosystem requires _reading_ nixlang; in order to understand how many of the nixos options work, you have to read their source code
that would be much less awful if it were an easy-to-use language, or if it could be reliably learned in a few hours by everyone in the demographic they want to use the system
unfortuantely, that's not possible, not because the language is very complex - it's not - but because there is no good introductory text. nix-pills conflates nixlang and the nix package manager far too much
the nix user experience is a step function; getting started is hard, but then you get some benefits, until you run into a fucking brick wall of learning all of nixlang and a zillion weird generators
Was just reminded of when a friend of mine was helping design an animal calling device and he put it in a tree and blasted the crow call at max volume. Crows started flocking in from all around and then circled at a respectful distance, agitated by the idea that there could be a crow that was SO LOUD

Complaining about web platforms
Trying to read a webcomic episode in my RSS reader. It’s Webtoon, so only the first two panels are there. Open in browser, need to confirm age first. WebToon navigates to the start page, close, open from RSS reader again. Cookie settings, start page again. Close, open again, ‘Wouldn’t you rather use our app?’. No, so it’s the start page again, naturally.
I really need to clear everything Webtoon from my webcomics folder. Something like this isn’t worth the effort.
not serious, what
stuttgart is an evil place that is inhabited by evil people. everything in stuttgart is constantly trying to prevent you from leaving. if you see loud white german teens on your train they are going to turn your train around and take it to stuttgart. if you are in the EU you are not safe from stuttgart. any train that leaves from stuttgart gets cancelled or delayed. stuttgart is pulling you in
