Every user of Google, Facebook, ... should absolutely watch

It makes people understand how those services are designed with the ultimate goal to sell your brain time at the highest price.

@gael I watched it yesterday, it's really an excellent documentary.
I plan to watch it with my teenagers at home to start a debate.
This documentaray should be shown at school.

I watched it this week.

Unfortunately they didn't talk about alternatives like Mastodon!

Another interesting one is The Great Hack: about how social network's data is used to manipulate citizens.

I saw it and it was quite good in my opinion...
Actually I preferred "The great Hack" which shows higher impact on civilizations...
But honestly I recognised this one is a good start.

But... They never mention Netflix do the same things that GAFAM do... Kind of hypocrite...

I looked around for a way to buy the documentation, but the only way to get it seems to be to sell my soul to #netflix and watch it online.

There are people confirming some of my fear about services like netflix:

I seems to me that being a netflix customer and caring about #privacy (like using /e/OS because it is #ungoogled and respects the users privacy) are symptoms for quiet different attitudes toward privacy.

@gael Nothing shocking in it for those paying attention. However the starkness of the Google suggestions creating greater perception of reality which is in fact just algorithmic siloing was most impacting to me, even though I knew about it previously.
