Fortunately we get this for potentially the next 40 years of our lives.

Tucker is very frustrating to watch because every interview is him taking reasonable positions expressed reasonably and attempting to blow them out of proportion to look like the level headed guy talking to the leftist looney

The new #GoogleEarth is dope and really shows how far WebGL has come. Check it out: g.co/earth

The worst part of the story is how United somehow also managed to lose that guy's luggage.

This night started promising and then @sdemos and I played minesweeper for actual hours.

On twitter the way I've seen my most "successful" tweets spread has a very organic feel to it. My followers retweet it and then their followers might retweet it.

Mastodon feels like a cozier community right now. Everyone sort of follows everyone because the federated TL is still readable.

Sometimes it seems like toughness is just code for self-defeating masochism:

Exercising while sick/injured?
Letting your body rest would be better

Pulled an all nighter?
Better off getting the sleep, maybe waking up early.

Pushing it to the limit every day?
Enjoy burning out.

Self imposed starvation/fasting?
Instead, don't.

Doing it on your own?
Just ask for help, no one is an island.

@gambogi likewise, don't get salty when you get banned or blacklisted for not using content warnings or other asshole moves

Just because culturally you would expect some content to be filtered does not mean others share the same concerns.

To be clear, not opposed to content warnings generally. But it can be very difficult to know what should and should not go behind a CW.

It's probably impossible to get everyone on the same page for filtering. Find people who self-censor. Choose an instance where people are expected to self censor. Don't be angry at people on the federated timeline for not following rules they never agreed to

Maybe if you want this kind of content warning system... go to an instance where that's actually the culture and don't browse the federated timeline

If everyone posts news behind content warnings this just becomes a twitter advent calendar
