This is the first and I hope only time I used "rudy giuliani" as a keyword on an Etsy listing. https://www.etsy.com/listing/904166419/four-seasons-total-landscaping-and-motel
We're up to Tropical Storm Iota? And it's expected to develop into a major hurricane? In mid-November? Cool cool cool.
(That's the 9th of 24 Greek letters, in case you are like me and have only a vague memory of what order that goes in. January resets the naming even though it's considered a continuation of the 2020 season, so we aren't gonna make it to Omega. Probably.)
This is the smallest dice tray; a smidge cramped for this design but I do have several sets of these dice so I can do more. And I have quite a few designs that use that colorway (I, uh, kinda like it a lot) so I can do some variations.
The inside of this tray is 5 x 5.5", the tiniest one they make. The 10" round (8" interior diameter) will give me a lot more room to stretch out, but the components are quite a bit pricier.
Going in the shop this weekend when I settle on a price.
Woke up to see a revised delivery date of today so apparently now the post office does what I ask it to. Not sure what to do with this newfound power.
WOOT finally got a USPS update. Monday.
Hurry up, mail people, these dice need a place to roll.
The other components for the dice tray this goes in have not moved in the postal system though. 😔
I'm sorry AAA but if your newsletter isn't just nonstop "STOP IT PEOPLE WE ARE IN UNCONTROLLED SPREAD NATIONWIDE YOU DO NOT NEED TO TRAVEL" then you're just helping kill people.
"Americans Planning Year-End Travel with Cautious Optimism
"According to a recent AAA Travel survey, American travelers are making vacation plans through the end of the year, but remain cautiously optimistic."
Happy fiftieth anniversary of Blowing Up A Dead Whale Day!
Both my grandparents on that side died before my parents met, so I never knew him. I thiiiink I remember that he lied about his age to get in, but I'd have to dig through all the to-be-digitized papers from Mom to be sure.
My nieces are pestering my sister to do Elf on the Shelf again this year so I have volunteered to help out (from half a continent's distance) because she's a bit tired of being creative with it.
After this I'm stitching out more Four Seasons motel keys and my embroidery machine is just going "Am I a joke to you?"
Has anybody used masto.host's minimum tier?
Fosstodon's local TL is quite active and fairly decent (even more so now that I've educated folks there in how to use "unlisted") although it's a bit bland (lot of guys throwing out super-basic opinions on this or that editor/distro/license).
Jawns? Is me, and a couple of folks who set up Mastodon Twitter Crossposter (a universally bad idea) and forgot about it, to the extent that I can respond to their posts *mocking* their use of it and they don't even notice.
I probably should have looked at my follower count before starting the "just use this account to boost all my themed-instances posts" to help measure its success.
But I've run into two problems: I picked fosstodon as my nerd/tech instance, and turns out there are a lot of places where follows from there get held for approval and NOBODY ever checks those.
And jawns is a ghost town; even its owner doesn't use it as a primary, so it's not a great choice as my general-purpose instance.
