watching fantasia as a child was probably what led me to instinctively perceive film as more than a storytelling medium, which i genuinely wish everyone did

whenever i see one of the ten million youtubers who spend all their time watching movies looking for plot holes and evaluating how forced the exposition is I cant help but feel bad for them. they must have such an impoverished experience with film if they really think that it all comes down to how "believable" the story is

@garfiald i've developed what could probably be described as a pavlovian response to seeing youtube thumbnails/titles for those people that just plays the cinemasins *ding* and my fight or flight response is initiated

@garfiald important to discuss how The Algorithm, optimized for viewer 'engagement', encourages shallow conflict and bad faith hot takes. the cinema sins guys could grow intellectually if they werent so highly monetized
