a sculptor I know told me a local gallerist told them "sculpture doesn't sell in Boston because Bostonians hate being in the same room as someone else" ( I agree. Unfortunately folks are selfish + egotistical here.)
yr humble fediverse servant recently added a 7 foot high sculpture to her home (I collect works from local emerging artists but only paintings and works on paper up until now).
But of course I cannot speak for the whole market. I love this piece though.
