The pink one (Peony) is inked with Monteverde Black, the beige one (Sand) with Sailor Jentle Doyou, which is more like a light black going on brownish grey than the brown ink I expected.
I am also expecting a brass PenBBS 350, but it seems to be stuck in limbo between airports.
PenBBSS's 323 pens are pretty and cute and they write wonderfully. It reads "F" on the nib and they write like Lamy "F" nibs, a bit thicker than other Fine nibs.
It's a bit sad that you don't get stamps on your passport when you travel through Europe because the only stamps I've gotten in passports ever were when I traveled to Romania in '04 and the three times I've been through Narita customs.
What I need to do is to travel to Japan and stock up on stationery stuff. I have to renew my passport next year, but I guess I'll do it early and get the first visa on the passport there, and do it during sakura season this time.
It's already at jetpens but I don't want to pay at customs so I guess I'll wait until it's on amazon prime or something. At least it's not limited edition.
I am feeling this thirst for the new blue traveler's notebook it's not even funny. http://www.travelers-company.com/products/tn-new-products-2018

Documentary on NHK World's video on demand site: Ise katagami (stencil textile printing) https://www3.nhk.or.jp/nhkworld/en/vod/Katagami/3004345/
The ink is Pelikan 4001 violet, although I'm waiting for Monteverde Purple Reign to compare. The text is quoted from The Pillow Book by Sei Shonagon.
✨✨ Guess who was able to find a Lamy safari dark lilac?✨✨ #fountainpens https://mastodon.social/media/6rseH6EjEkxY39ndu8g
Been watching videos/ reading documentation for AWS because I'm supposed to do a certification course (?) in December and it's such a dreary slog.
I hope the workplace sets up an account with them so we can get hands-on practice with the console because I'm def not opening one in my own name and it doesn't look like you'll be able to certify without hands-on experience.
And meanwhile this book isn't available outside Japan. WHYYY http://www.coloringqueen.net/fashion-colouring-book-review/
I've just bought the original Japanese and English editions of the same coloring book (thiiis one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8IhBhF4uYRQ ) because they changed the book title and nowhere ever anyone mentions that they're the same.
Ah well. I don't think I can give it to my sister for Xmas because I already gifted her Floribunda, so I guess I'll use the English language edition for color tests or something.
Being able to access another instance's local timeline instead of everything federated at once would be interesting, I guess.
The main problem with the firehose^H^H^H federated timeline is that at least in ff57 it kind of moves or jumps a bit around when it updates itself and it's seriously distracting. Firefox's flashing loading lines under the address bar block don't help, either.
(I work in IT. Years of taking notes at speed at uni and more years of typing more than writing made my handwriting look horrible. Lately I am practising handwriting by writing a page a day, and fountain pens glide over the page *and* they have all the fun ink colors in the world)
NPD! Yes, the TWSBI is a very nice pen. (F nib, inked with Pelikan 4001 Turquoise) #fountainpens https://mastodon.social/media/vvgEW4pfsG78eoTMtxg
Artists showing their portfolios, random Yuri on Ice fans, assorted nerdery and chitchat. This is so great.
